About Fiona

I’m Fiona Gray, a qualified and experienced mediator and HR Business Partner.

I help people move from tension to clarity through calm, structured conversations. My approach is warm and impartial, creating a safe space where everyone is heard and practical agreements can be reached.

I maintain a good life balance by taking time out of the busy working day to exercise the slightly daft and adorable, family cocker spaniel!

Why choose mediation?

Mediation is a totally confidential process involving two or more parties. It has many advantages over more formal and legal processes of resolving conflict. For me, the fact that you, ‘the parties’, are in control of the outcome is a key reason why mediation is so successful and growing in popularity. Mediation is also comparatively stress free, it’s quick and therefore, also cost effective.

Why choose Fiona?

I am passionate about the benefits of mediation and support parties in a kind, empathetic, and results focussed way. Typically, my Business Partnership and Commercial mediations have a 95% success rate. Edinburgh city centre based, I mediate in person or online, throughout Scotland and have experience of working within Private, Public and Charity sectors.

What are my credentials?

I am registered and accredited with the regulatory body, Scottish Mediation. In addition to having my own independent mediation practise I also mediate with the Strathclyde University Mediation Clinic, Scottish Mediation and the Scottish Sheriff Courts. I am an independent HR Consultant and Workplace Mediator for the Employment Law Team at Anderson Strathern LLP, and a member of Charity Leadership Scotland.

My extensive experience in Commercial Leadership and as an HR Business Partner (MCIPD) compliments my mediation practise; it allows me develop an in depth understanding of different individuals to ensure I really understand their needs, whilst remaining focussed on an acceptable outcome.

Being an active participant at various specialist cohorts ensures my practise remains current and relevant, and allows me to call on fellow experts to support with mediations involving multiple parties. I support inclusivity and sustainability; I am accredited as being a Neurodiversity Aware Mediator, I am an experienced school Peer to Peer trainer, and I support the Mediators Green Pledge.

What do I do?

I have extensive experience in supporting clients to resolve conflict in Workplace, Commercial, Business Partnership and Community situations.

In addition to mediating between parties I also support organisations to navigate away from conflict by offering mediation awareness sessions and to avoid unhelpful distractions and business blockers by facilitating conversations which identify the cause of conflict.

I build good rapport with individuals so that trust can be established quickly. My style is kind, empathetic and results focussed.

I offer tailored financial proposals to suit individual needs
